Administrative HistoryOpened in 1871 as a chapel to Chester St. Oswald, which it replaced as the parish church in 1882. In 1967 the parish was united with Chester St. Little John, and between 1973 and 2005 it was part of a unified parish for the city of Chester. In 2005 the parish was renamed “St. Oswald & St. Thomas of Canterbury”.
